NORFOLK, VA -- The Indianapolis Indians (44-31) put their recent offensive struggles behind them by exploding for 15 hits to blow past the Norfolk Tides (30-46) 10-4 on Saturday night at Harbor Park.

Although Norfolk jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead by the second inning, the Tribe would quickly erase the deficit with the red-hot bat of Jaff Decker. Stepping to the plate with Mel Rojas Jr. on and nobody out in the third, Decker quickly deposited the second pitch of his at-bat into the river behind the right field wall for a two-run shot that evened the game 2-2. Not letting up after knotting the score, the Tribe captured its first lead of the evening on a Chris Dickerson groundout that scored Decker give Indy a 3-2 edge in the fifth.

One inning later, Nevin Ashley broke things open by smashing his first triple of the season to score Brent Morel and Chris McGuiness and make it 5-2 in the sixth. The three-run advantage marked only the start of Indy's onslaught as its lead ballooned to 10-3 over the Tides behind a three-hit, four-RBI night from Ashley and a 3-for-5, three-RBI effort from Decker.

With a sizable cushion from his offense, Indians starter Adam Wilk authored his seventh quality start of the season with just six hits and 1 ER/7.0IP. Indy's bullpen handled the final 2.0IP to nail down the 10-4 victory.
