Michael Colla (W, 2-6) earned his second win of the 2014 season after holding the Suns to two runs (one earned) on six hits in six innings of work, while striking walking a batter and striking out five.

Angel Sanchez (L, 0-7) took the loss for the Suns after giving up five runs (all earned) on four hits in 2.1 innings of work, while issuing three walks and striking out three Biscuits.

The Suns received a pair of brilliant relief efforts on Friday, with James Nygren holding the Biscuits scoreless in 3.2 strong innings of relief, allowing just one hit in his Friday night outing. Then Greg Nappo kept the Biscuits off the scoreboard in a season-high 3.0 innings of work, allowing two hits striking out one batter in the final three innings of Friday's ballgame.

After Angel Sanchez faced the minimum six batters through the first two innings, the Biscuits hopped all over the right-hander in the top of the third. The Biscuits scored five times to break the scoreless tie and knock out Sanchez from Friday's ballgame after working 2.1 innings.

The Suns broke through for a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring a run on a RBI groundout from Wilfredo Gimenez and another when Joe Benson came down to score on a two-out error by left fielder Jeff Malm on a ball off the bat of Danny Black to make it a 5-2 Biscuits lead after four innings.

The Suns scored twice in the ninth as Danny Black scored on Isaac Galloway's sacrifice fly to cut the lead to 5-3 in favor of the Biscuits and then grabbed a second run on a throwing error by Riccio Torrez who had just been inserted into the game as a pinch-hitter in the top of the ninth, but the Suns came up one run short in their comeback attempt.

The Suns will head to Pensacola on Saturday to begin a five-game series with the Blue Wahoos, with first pitch of Saturday's game one set for 6:30 p.m. CT (7:30 p.m. ET) at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium. The Suns are set to start right-hander Jose Urena (5-2, 4.17) in game one and he'll be opposed by Pensacola righty Daniel Corcino (4-4, 3.66).

Suns fans can listen to Saturday's game on the Suns Baseball Network, 94.1 WSOS-FM or through www.jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com or the Suns iPhone or Android app, beginning at 6:50 p.m. ET with the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show.
