CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Biscuits rallied for four runs in the tenth inning in an 8-4 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts Tuesday morning at AT&T Field. With the win, the Biscuits snap their ten-game road losing streak.
With the score all tied up, D.J. Johnson loaded the bases after he hit a batter and allowed consecutive-singles. Jake DePew drew a walk to bring in the go-ahead run followed by a two-run double and an RBI single by Tommy Coyle and Dayron Varona, respectively.
The Biscuits jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a two-run single by Patrick Leonard in the first and RBI from Varona and Coyle in the second. The Lookouts, however, started their comeback in the second inning when they brought nine men to the plate and scored three runs without putting a ball in play. Jaime Schultz walked five in the inning and hit a batter. The righty left the game with two outs in the inning. Mark Sappington came in to strike out Adam Brett Walker to end the threat. The Lookouts were able to tie the game with an RBI single from Heiker Meneses in the third inning.
The Biscuits will start a five-game series in Jackson, Tennessee on Wednesday night at 7:05. LH Chris Kirsch will be on the hill for the Biscuits while the Generals will throw RH Dylan Unsworth.
