
Biscuits Bash out Win against Blue Wahoos

PENSACOLA, Fla. - In a game that saw 14 runs and 29 hits, the Biscuits (63-69/28-34) outslugged the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (55-77/24-38) 8-6 for their third-straight win Saturday night at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.
Every hitter in the Biscuits' lineup finished with at least one hit while five players finished with multiple hits.
The important hits and runs came in the ninth inning giving the Biscuits valuable insurance. The Biscuits entered the ninth inning leading 4-3. Guevara started the scoring with an RBI-single. Willie Argo followed with a two-run double while Kes Carter finished the scoring with an RBI-single to make it a four-run inning and an 8-3 lead.
The runs proved vital when the Wahoos scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth. Brodie Green singled in the first run while Travis Mattair drove two runs in with a single to bring the Wahoos within two. Andrew Bellatti (6) struck out Seth Mejias-Brean - the winning run - to lock down the win and earn the save.
The Wahoos led in the first inning with an RBI-single. He gave the Wahoos a 2-0 lead with an RBI-double in the second. The designated-hitter finished his day by driving in a run with a single in the fifth to tie the game at three.
Taylor Motter double in the fourth inning to drive in the Biscuits first run of the game. A Richie Shaffer groundout then tied the game at two later in the inning. Ryan Brett then gave the Biscuits their first lead of the night with a two-out, RBI-single in the fifth. The Biscuits took the lead for good with a sacrifice fly from Argo in the seventh.
The middle-game of the series is Sunday at 6:00. RH Albert Suarez will throw against RH Ben Lively.
