Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has acquired center Bob Wren (REHN) from the Toronto Maple Leafs for forward Nathan Perrott (PAIR-iht). Wren has been assigned to the Admirals and is expected to play Thursday night against Chicago.

Wren, 28, has recorded 19 points (8g-11a) in 27 games this season for the Maple Leafs' primary developmental affiliate, the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League. The 5-10, 190-pound Preston, Ontario native, who has skated in five career NHL games with the Maple Leafs and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, ranked fourth in the AHL in assists (49) and eighth in points (67) in 2001-02 with St. John's. The ninth-year pro was originally Los Angeles' fourth-round choice, 94th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.

Perrott, 26, who notched one goal, two assists and 106 penalty minutes in 27 games with Milwaukee also appeared in one game with Nashville this season. After scoring 16pts and accumulated 190 penalty minutes with the Admirals last season, Perrott finished the season with Nashville where he posted one goal, two assists and 74 penalty minutes in 22 games.

The Admirals open a three-game home stand Thursday night against the Chicago Wolves in a game that begins at 7:12. Milwaukee will host Grand Rapids Saturday afternoon at 2:12pm. The game time for the Saturday game was changed from a 7:12pm start to avoid a conflict with the Packer playoff game that evening.
