MISSOULA, MONT. - The Missoula Osprey (9-8) made another comeback attempt but suffered a five-run ninth inning to drop a 7-2 score to the Billings Mustangs (8-8) in front of 2,022 fans at Ogren Park Allegiance Field. Dane McFarland led the charge offensively with a 3-4 game highlighted by a two-run home run in the seventh inning to tie the game. However, it would be a big Billings ninth inning to end Missoula's five-game win streak.

Brad Keller gave the Osprey five innings in his fourth start of the season with just one earned run. Despite allowing a run in the first inning, Keller left runners at second and third base to end a jam. He would finish with seven hits allowed, two walks, and earn three strikeouts.

Jency Solis and Wagner Mateo would keep the O's within striking distance after Billings tacked on a run in fourth inning by combining for three shutout relief innings, two hits, and four strikeouts with no walks. Derek Cape (0-1) took the loss in relief with five earned runs off two hits.

Tyler Mahle gave Billings a strong start with five hits and no runs over five innings. He issued a pair of walks and struck out four batters. Fabian Roman (1-2) was credited with the win in three innings of relief despite giving up the Dane McFarland two-run home run. Joined by Brennan Barnardino in the ninth inning, the Mustang hurlers would give up just six hits to the Osprey.

The O's continue their six-game homestand with tomorrow's start time with Billings set for 6:35 p.m. with a Fireworks Extravaganza planned following the game. Tickets for all Osprey games are available at the MSO Hub Box Office, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.
