
Big Weekend in Store at Silver Cross Field

JOLIET, IL- The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy host three big promotional nights this weekend, Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5 at Silver Cross Field. Theme nights include the Slammers' first Princess Night, Fireworks Friday, Bark in the Park, a movie on field and more.
On Friday, June 3, the Slammers host their first Princess Night of the season. Gates open at 6:05 pm for the 7:05 pm game. Princesses provided by Magic, Music and More will be available on the concourse level for photos and autographs throughout the night. A photo booth with princess and Slammers accessories will be on the concourse for free photos, provided by Alfresco Booth.
Two deluxe princess packages are available for purchase. Princess Package I includes a meet and greet with princesses Anna and Elsa from 6:00-7:00 p.m., a princess t-shirt, a souvenir item, one adult and one child ticket, two hot dogs, two chips, two sodas, and the opportunity to watch fireworks on the field, provided by Lumina Pyrotechnics. Princess Package II includes one adult and one child ticket, two hot dogs, two chips, two sodas, and fireworks on the field. Promotional tiaras and t-shirts will be available for purchase at the game.
Rotary International District 6450 is presenting Saturday's 6:05 p.m. game. Proceeds from tickets sold through ten local Rotary groups will go back to the Rotary's efforts to eradicate polio worldwide. State Senator Pat McGuire will throw out the first pitch. A silent auction will also take place throughout the game. All fans can bid on items with the additional funds raised going toward Rotary's PolioPlus program.
Post-game, kids can run the bases for a free ice cream cone coupon from Andy's Frozen Custard.
On Sunday, June 5, dogs are welcome at Silver Cross Field for the 1:05 p.m. game. The Slammers Bark in the Park day allows dogs in for free with a paying human. Tickets are $5 and all dogs must remain on a leash in the lawn area. The first 500 fans will receive a doggie treat bag on entrance, provided by Tucker's Doggie Delights. Fans can arrive early to participate in the pre-game puppy parade. Representatives from As Good As Gold will also be available on the concourse to discuss golden retriever adoption.
Sunday is also a Double Feature Sunday, presented by the Greater Joliet Area YMCA. Fans can stay for a post-game movie on field. This Sunday's feature is the cartoon 101 Dalmatians. Admission is free with a game ticket, or $1 to the public. Concessions will be available for the showing.
Players will also be signing autographs on Sunday following the game, and kids can run the bases for a free ice cream cone coupon from Andy's Frozen Custard.
