The game would stay at 4-4 until the seventh. Evansville catcher Billy Killian led off the inning by reaching on an error. Estee Harris singled to put runners on first and third for the Otters and Greg Alexander lifted a sacrifice fly as Evansville took the lead.

The Otters then proceeded to explode for seven runs in the ninth. Derek Wiley hit an RBI-double before Brandon Cohen hit his ninth home run of the season, a two-run shot. Jake Rogers and Vinnie Scarduzio each blasted solo shots in the ensuing at-bats, their third and sixth home runs respectively. When the dust settled Evansville led 12-4.

The Crushers (23-19) have a day off Monday before they begin a three game series at Florence Tuesday at 7:05pm. RHP Phil Rummel (2-3, 5.80) takes the mound for Lake Erie while RHP Andy Clark (3-2, 4.93) will get the start for the Freedom.
