NORMAL, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers, didn't stand a chance against the Traverse City Beach Bums Sunday, losing 7-1.
Normal only managed five hits, and scored one run in the sixth inning. Kevin Kreier pitched six innings, giving up nine hits, four runs and two walks.
For Normal, Brad Augustin was 2-for-3 and the best hitter of the night. Normal returns to the Corn Crib Tuesday to play Oakland County.
