The Somerset Patriots defeated the Altoona Curve by a score of 5-4 in the second of a six games series at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday night, moving into a tie for first place in the Eastern League's Northeast Division.

Rehabbing Yankees CF Harrison Bader went 0-for-4 in the first game of his rehab assignment.

The Patriots put together 10+ hits for the fifth time over their last seven games and homered 3+ times for the second time in their last five games.

RHP Blane Abeyta (6.2 IP, 2 R, 7 H, 3 K) earned his fifth win of the season, tied for second most in the Eastern League. Abeyta put together his fifth quality start of the season and fourth over his last six starts.

RHP Danny Watson (1 IP, 0 R, 0 H) was credited with his second save of the season for a no-hit 9th inning of relief.

Watson has not allowed a run over his last 19.1 IP between Somerset and High-A Hudson Valley, dating back to 4/30. Over that span, Watson has allowed only 8 H with 21 K.

1B TJ Rumfield (2-for-4, HR) extended Somerset's lead to 3-0 with an opposite field solo blast in the 5th. Rumfield has now homered in five straight games, serving as the only Eastern League player to accomplish the feat this season. Rumfield went on a tear of six straight hits going for home runs, which concluded with his 7th inning single. His 12 HR lead the team and are tied for 4th in the Eastern League.

C Austin Wells (3-for-4, HR, 2 R) provided the late inning heroics for the Patriots with a solo home run in the 7th inning, which would serve as the game's deciding run. Wells' homer traveled 420 FT with an exit velocity of 106.4 MPH. Wednesday marked Wells third three-hit game of the season, the most of any Patriot. o Wells also extended his on-base streak to a season-high 10 games.

SS Trey Sweeney (3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) put Somerset on the board with an RBI double in the 2nd, before crushing a solo blast in the 5th inning to extend the Patriots lead to 4-0. The Yankees No. 5 prospect extended his hit streak to a season-high 11 games, over which he's 17-for-50 with 6 RBI. Sweeney's hit streak is the longest by any Patriot this season. Sweeney registered multiple hits for the second straight game and 12th time this season, the most of any Patriot this season.
