Berezowski Nets Two as Silvertips Down Americans 5-3 at Home

EVERETT, Wash. - Everett Silvertips captain Jackson Berezowski netted two goals as the Tips bested the Tri-City Americans 5-3 at Angel of the Winds Arena Wednesday night.

Jackson Berezowski opened the scoring with his 98th career goal at 4:50 in the first period, snapping a shot past Nick Avakyan for a 1-0 Everett advantage.

Roan Woodward tallied his third goal of the season at 10:25 in the second period, converting on a three-on-one rush opportunity. A Ryan Hofer rebound goal at 16:48 extended the Silvertips' lead to 3-0 after two.

The Tri-City Americans battled back in the third period, first netting a powerplay goal at 8:16 off the stick of Parker Bell, then a second powerplay goal at 11:07 for Reese Belton. An even-strength goal for Alex Serraglio brought the game to 4-3 with less than five minutes remaining in regulation. With time winding down, Berezowski found the empty net for his second of the game and 99th career goal to seal a 5-3 victory for the Silvertips.

Braden Holt stopped 39 of 42 in the win.

The Silvertips wrap up their first half with a home-and-home with the Seattle Thunderbirds, beginning in Kent Friday night and finishing Saturday night in Everett at 6 p.m. Tickets are available.
