Tri-City Americans News Release

The Tri-City Americans fell 5-3 to the Everett Silvertips on Wednesday, snapping a six-game winning streak.

Tri-City struggled to find the net through the first two periods. The Ams trailed 4-0 early in the third period before finding their offensive stride with a pair of power play goals.

Parker Bell, set up by Lukas Dragicevic, put the Americans on the board 8:16 into the third period as Tri-City capitalized on their first power play opportunity of the night. Dragicevic's assist extends his point streak to 22 games, officially the longest point streak by a WHL defenseman in the internet era (1996-97). He has six goals and 25 assists over that period.

The Americans power play, which had a 25.2% success rate coming into the game, continued to build momentum for the Americans as Reese Belton capitalized on another man advantage at 11:07, cutting the deficit to two.

Alex Serraglio netted Tri-City's third straight goal and only even-strength goal of the evening with a shot from the low-slot off a centering pass from Deagan McMillan.

Despite Tri-City's impressive effort and outshooting Everett 16-9 in the last period, the Silvertips added a empty-net goal to secure a 5-3 victory.

Tri-City's six-game winning streak was their longest since October 2017. They will look to put themselves back in the win column this weekend as they take on the Royals in Victoria on Friday and Saturday.
