Bell, who was named Southern League Hitter of the Week on Monday for his efforts during the prior week, was also recently tabbed MVP of the 2009 Southern League All-Star Game. The 22-year-old switch-hitter hit .296 with 30 doubles (2nd in Southern League), 11 homers, 43 extra-base hits (2nd in SL), 52 RBIs, and a .497 slugging percentage (5th in SL) during his tenure with the Lookouts. Johnson was promoted to Chattanooga on July 18th and had made two starts for the Lookouts, accruing a 1-1 record with a 1.69 ERA. In 10.2 innings of work, he surrendered eight hits and three walks, while striking out 15. Previously in 2009, he pitched for Inland Empire (A+), where he went 8-4 with a 3.82 ERA.
