Bees Sweep Doubleheader on Adams Walk-Off

Robinson Pina pitched in and out of trouble for the first two innings in game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader. He got into a 2nd and 3rd , no out, jam in the first, ending it by knocking down a comeback line drive, and throwing the batter out with a bullet to Connor Fitzsimons at first. He again had 2nd and 3rd in the second inning. This time with one out, but got a K looking and an easy 4-3 ground ball to escape. Pina picked up the as Livan Soto drove in his first two runs of the year. Mayky Perez threw two shutout innings for the save.

In the second game 2018 number 1 pick Jordyn Adams walked the Bees off with a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh in the Bees official home opener. Bees win 1-0. Cole Duensing picked up the win, throwing five scoreless, giving up three hits and striking out 6 in his Midwest League debut. Jake Lee grabbed the save, closing out the game with two scoreless innings.
