Davenport, IA (July 5, 2010) - The Bees fell behind early on Monday night and never lead in a 5-1 loss to the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park. The loss snaps the Bees' season-long six-game winning streak and gave the Bandits their first home win over Burlington since April 30.

Quad Cities led from the first inning on, but the game was decided in the bottom of the sixth. Devin Goodwin and Matt Adams opened the inning by reaching on a pair of Fernando Cruz errors. Ryde Rodriguez and Alan Ahmady drove them home, and Luis Mateo added an RBI single to make it 5-1.

Bees starter Tyler Sample (L, 3-5) turned in a fine performance despite the final outcome. He tied a career high with eight strikeouts in six innings with six hits, two earned runs, and two walks. Fellow Western Division All-Star Eric Fornataro (W, 6-7) held the Bees to one runs on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks in his five innings.
