Bees Announce "Community Basket" Date Change

BURLINGTON, IA (May 13, 2011)- The Burlington Bees will be moving the "Community Basket" event because of the expected weather conditions from this Sunday to Thursday, May 19 against Clinton at 6:30 p.m. Fans that have purchased box seats to Sunday's game may exchange them for tickets to Thursday's game by bringing them to the Community Field Box Office. Fans with general admission tickets to Sunday's game may simply bring them to the game on Thursday to use for admission. The Bees regularly scheduled game with the Cedar Rapids Kernels is still on as scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with gates opening at 1:00 p.m.

The Bees return home to start a three-game series with the Cedar Rapids Kernels on Friday night at 6:30. It's another "Big Fun Friday" with $3.25 Bud Light and Busch Light 16-ounce specials at the game. LHP Max Russell (3-2, 3.08) gets the start for Cedar Rapids against LHP Jacob Brown (4-0, 1.24) for Burlington. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:10 p.m. on Newsradio 1490 KBUR and online at gobees.com.
