Bedard & Oremba Named to NHL Central Scouting's Preliminary Players to Watch List

Regina, Sask. - Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard earned an A rating on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list, while Pats forward Sam Oremba made it onto the list as a C level prospect, Tuesday.
Bedard, 17, is projected to be the number one overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The 5-foot-10, 183 lb. forward has collected 21 points (10G-21A) in 12 games this season, leading the WHL in points and shots (76) while tied for first in goals and second in assists. The North Vancouver, B.C. product has scored four game-winning goals, with five of is 10 goals to tie or to take the lead. He's also posted a 56.7 face-off winning percentage (131-for-231) this season. The first player to be granted exceptional status to the Western Hockey League has produced 149 career points (73G-76A) in 89 career games.
Oremba, 17, has recorded four points (1G-3A) in nine games split between the Pats and Seattle Thunderbirds this season. The Regina, Sask. product was acquired by Pats on October 4, 2022 in exchange for a 2023 second-round pick, 2024 first-round pick and 2025 third-round pick. The 6-foot-2, 195 lb. forward broke Jaden Schwartz's SBAAHL points record with 133 points (75G-58A) in 31 games prior to being drafted seventh overall in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
Regina Pats import prospect Michael Hrabal was also listed as a A level prospect. The 17-year-old goaltender from Praha, Czechia has posted a 2.16 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage in five starts (2-0-3) with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL this season. Listed at 6-foot-6, 209 lb. Hrabal was drafted by the Pats in the second round (#85) in the 2022 CHL Import Draft.
