
Hurricanes Re-Assign Phillips

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday they have re-assigned 2005-born defenceman Kaden Phillips to U18.
Phillips, 17, will report to the Lethbridge U18 Hurricanes. The Olds, AB, product was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the ninth-round (192nd overall) in the 2020 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft. The 6'1, 172-pound defenceman appeared in two pre- season games with the 'Canes collecting one assist and two penalty minutes. He has not dressed in a regular season game in 2022-2023 due to injury.
Last year, Phillips recorded 10 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 25 regular season games with Okanagan Hockey Academy Black U17 program. He added seven helpers in four post-season games while also suiting up in six games with the OHA U18 team earning one assist and four penalty minutes.
With the re-assignment of Phillips, the Hurricanes now have a 23-man roster, including 13 forwards, seven defenceman and three goaltenders.
The Hurricanes return to action on Wednesday when they visit the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00pm before returning to welcome the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday, October 29th at 7:00pm in the B-93 Halloween Howler at the ENMAX Centre.
