Dayton Bombers News Release
Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam and Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today that forward Matt Beaudoin has been called up to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
"We think Matt is a very skilled player who can really compliment this team," said Jody Gage, the American's general manager. "He's put up some good numbers and right now we feel that he will be a great addition to the Rochester Americans."
This is the second call-up of the season for the 23-year-old Rock Forest, Quebec, native. Beaudoin spent three games with the AHL's Iowa Stars after being called-up on December 17.
In what has already been a career month for Beaudoin, he was recently named to the American Conference All-Star team and was named the InGlasCo Player of the Week for December 10-16.
Beaudoin leads all rookies in the ECHL in scoring with 17 goals and 21 assists on the season for 38 points, ranking fifth overall in the league.
Beaudoin is on an eight game point streak (7G,9A) dating back to November 30. He had a career night on December 15 against the Johnstown Chiefs as he tallied his first career hat trick and two additional assists to set personal bests in goals and points. This season Beaudoin has had 12 multipoint games, including his last four, and three multi-goal games.
The Rochester Americans are the "AAA" affiliate of the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers.
