Come out to a Capital City Go-Go game and help Teach the Beat bring the distinctive DC sound of go-go music into the classroom! Each Beat of DC ticket package includes an exclusive Capital City Go-Go "Beat of DC" t-shirt and a $10 donation back to Teach the Beat!
Teach the Beat is an initiative to ensure that DC area students learn the rich history and the various stylistic elements related to the Go-Go music genre.
Along with their in the classroom efforts, Teach the Beat partners with the Go-Go for Education Days each season. Education day is a field trip opportunity for local students K-12. Students get the chance to have an interactive experience with local musicians and historians to help them learn about the rich history related to go-go music while watching a Capital City Go-Go game.
