Third time this season the Westchester Knicks have had 3 players record a double-double in a loss. Charlie Brown Jr. (22 Points and 11 rebounds), Brandon Goodwin (22 Points and 12 assists), Dmytro Skapintsev (23 points and 13 rebounds). Last time, was Jan. 5, 2024 at Delaware Bluecoats. Dmytro Skapintsev (20 points,10 rebounds), Brandon Goodwin (13 points, 11 assists), Dylan Windler (23 points, 33 rebounds).
The Knicks got off to a nightmarish start shooting 19% (4-21) from the field and an abysmal 8.3% (1-12) from three, allowing the Skyhawks to take their largest lead of the game against the Knicks (31-points) closing out the first quarter, 17-48. The Skyhawks would be led by a duo of 30+ point scorers. Miles Norris dominated with a game high 35 points, including 7-made threes. Kobe Bufkin would also dominate on assignment from the Atlanta Hawks finishing with 31 points, 7 assists, 8 rebounds and 5-made threes. The Knicks would cut their deficit to as close to 3 points with 1:07 remaining in the fourth quarter but several untimely calls would seal the victory for the Skyhawks. Brandon Goodwin would be called for a Lane Violation after a missed Kobe Bufkin Free Throw with 1:01 remaining. This would then be followed by two technical fouls and an automatic ejection on Head Coach DeSagana Diop helping the Skyhawks to increase their lead in the final seconds of the game. DaQuan Jeffries finished with 27 points for the Knicks. Brandon Goodwin would record his 4th double-double of the regular season (10th Overall) with his 22 points and 12 assists.
