Bears look to make it two straight as Amerks come to call

October 30, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

Rochester plays at GIANT Center tonight for the only time in 2004-05 as HERSHEY looks for its second straight victory in as many days. Friday night saw the BEARS break into the win column with a 1-0 shootout victory at Syracuse behind the goaltending of Peter Budaj. HERSHEY'S third year goalie is expected to draw tonight's assignment against Rochester.

Both teams excelled on the power play against each other in 2003-04. HERSHEY was 3-7 on the man advantage for a 42.9 percent clip last season against the Americans, while Rochester scored four times in ten chances on the power play against the BEARS. HERSHEY enters play tonight as the only team in the AHL that has not allowed a power play tally this season.

Tickets are still available for tonight's game at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911. The game can also be heard on the BEARS radio network beginning at 6:40 p.m. John Walton has the call on 1460-AM and 1390-AM. Face-off is at 7:00 p.m. HERSHEY is also at home Sunday against Norfolk at 5:00 p.m.
