January 31, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

Shane Willis scored his 19th goal of the season in the first period, but the BEARS fell to Providence Saturday night 3-1. HERSHEY has still not won back-to-back games at GIANT Center this season despite being just four points out of first place. Peter Budaj took the loss in goal for HERSHEY. Budaj had a streak of 133:02 without allowing a goal at home broken in the first period when Kris Vernarsky scored a short-handed goal. Martin Hlinka picked up an assist to activate a two game point streak. Hlinka was called up from Quad City on Tuesday.

The BEARS play Albany at GIANT Center Tuesday. Face-off at 7:30 p.m.
