In Brief

· 1/8: Motor City Again...

The Beacons started quickly as they took a 4-0 lead into the second period. From that point onward the Beacons would be outscored 6-2 in the final 40 minutes of play. Scoring for the Beacons were, David Beauregard (2g, 1a), Aaron Brand (1g, 1a), Joey Sewell (1g, 1a), Trevor Edwards and Ivan Curic each had one goal apiece. Others netting assists were Chad Dameworth (1a), Gabriel Proulx (2a), Josh Tataryn (1a), Jason Firth (2a) and Andrew McPherson (2a). In the shootout the Beacons went seven rounds with the Mechanics before shutting the door and winning 7-6.

Upcoming Games: Week Fourteen

· 1/12: Generals Second Visit to McMorran

The Generals come into McMorran Arena once again. During the last meeting on New Years Eve the Beacons defeated the Generals 3-2 in a shootout. FACE-OFF: 6:40 p.m.

· 1/14: Another Trip to Muskegon

The Beacons travel to Muskegon for the fourth meeting of the season. The Fury lead the season series 2-1-0. FACE-OFF: 7:30 p.m.

· 1/15: Second Season Meeting with the Komets

The Beacons face the Komets for only the second time this season. The first match-up was on opening night October 22nd when the Komets defeated the Beacons 7-4. FACE-OFF: 7:05 p.m.

Hot Streak!!

The Beacons remain one of the hottest teams in the league after winning eight out of their last 10 games. The Beacons have gone 15-5-1 since starting the season with a 2-12-1 record.

ALL STARS!!

The Beacons will be represented by two outstanding players at the January 24th All-Star Classic in Glens Falls, New York, home of the Adirondack Frostbite. Defenseman, Chad Damewoth and Forward, David Beauregard were chosen to represent the Beacons. All players were chosen by their own coaches to appear on the official all-star ballot, which was then voted on by media, coaches and General Managers. Beauregard currently leads the league in goals with 27 and Chad Dameworth is as solid as ever as the Captain of the Beacons with a team leading +10 through 36 games.

Weekly Nominees

Player of the Week

The Beacons nominate David Beauregard as the Sher Wood Player of the week. Beauregard finished the week with 3 points in one game played. Beauregard was EVEN for the week and tallied 2 goals and 1 assist on 5 shots for the weekend's action including 1 PPG.

Goaltender of the Week

The Beacons nominate Daniel Berthiaume as the Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week.

Berthiaume finished the week 1-0-0 in 60 minutes played with 26 saves on 32 shots for a .810 SV%

and a 6.00 GAA.

The Beacons have partnered with CN Railroad and Citizens First Bank to award individuals and or groups in the community that have strived to make this area a better place to live, by inviting them to enjoy an exciting night at a Beacons hockey game.

Coaches Show

The coaches show returns to the Brass Rail for another exciting season. Join Beacons play-by-play announcer, Dennis Stuckey along with Head Coach, Rick Adduono for in depth analysis of the weekends action and questions from fans of all ages. Select Beacon players will also be appearing throughout the season. Of course if you cannot make it down to the Brass Rail you can always tune into AM 1450 and AM 1590, also your home for hockey action all year long both home and away.
