BB&T Ballpark Hosts Graduation

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JUNE 7, 2012) - BB&T Ballpark will host the North Davidson High School graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 10 at 9:00 a.m. Approximately 3,000 people are expected to be in attendance for the first such event at BB&T Ballpark.

The stage will be constructed at home plate and face out towards the field. North Davidson students and faculty will sit in chairs set up at the shortstop and second base positions. The school band will also be seated on the field.

Tickets are required for admission and were sold in advance through North Davidson High School.

The graduating students will split two ways and walk either down the first or third base line to receive their diplomas on-stage.

Saturday's graduation ceremony begins at 9:00 a.m., but the stage is set up for a rehearsal walkthrough tonight at 7:00 p.m. The stage will be torn down and reconstructed late Friday evening after the Dash's doubleheader with the Wilmington Blue Rocks Friday night with first pitch scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

The doubleheader kicks off a seven-game, six day homestand and marks the final time the Dash play at home during the first half of the season.

Winston-Salem and BB&T Ballpark host the California-Carolina League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 19. The game begins at 7:15.
