BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will play make-up with a pair of doubleheaders and a pair of rescheduled promotions. The Baysox will make up games against the Erie SeaWolves June 7, and the Akron Aeros July 1. Party Like It's 1929 Night and the Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament are rescheduled for August.
The first doubleheader pits the Baysox against the SeaWolves on Sunday, June 7, beginning at 2:05 p.m. Gates open at 1:00 p.m. and both games are seven-inning contests. The date is also Louie's Kids Club Superhero Night at Prince George's Stadium and kids rock band Milkshake will perform a special pre-game concert. Bowie will face Akron in a doubleheader Wednesday, July 1, beginning at 6:05 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the second game begins approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. In accordance with minor league baseball rules, both games are seven innings.
Party Like It's 1929 Night is rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, as the Baysox take on the Altoona Curve at 7:05 p.m. The night still features a special ticket offer, music from the era and Baysox staff in costume. Fans purchasing a regularly priced lower reserved seat ticket for $14 can purchase a second lower reserved seat ticket for a quarter! The ticket offer is only available via walk-up orders the day of the game. The offer does not apply to tickets purchased at www.baysox.com or over the phone.
The Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27, as the Baysox once again take on the Curve at 7:05 p.m. Any fan who purchases a regularly priced lower reserved seat ticket ($14) can register for the tournament by contacting Lauren Phillips at (301) 464-4813. The tournament begins at 7:00 p.m. on the concourse level at Prince George's Stadium.
