August 22, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BEAT THE STREAKS! Your Bowie Baysox are getting OH SO CLOSE to securing a Playoff spot for the first time since the 1997 season! It's been such a fun season so far, but the fun isn't over yet!
There's just three more regular season games in the 2008 season - and three more chances to cheer LOUD for YOUR team to make it to the playoffs! The boys of summer will take on the rival Trenton Thunder (Class AA Affiliate of the New York Yankees) at home this coming Tuesday through Thursday night. It is a potential Eastern League Finals preview as Trenton has led the North Division almost all season. When Bowie faced Trenton a couple weeks ago at their home, YOUR Bowie Baysox swept the three game series! Don't miss out on three of the biggest games of the season!
Show your Baysox pride and share your voice to the stadium crowd this coming week by cheering on The Winningest Professional Baseball Team In The Region as they push for the PLAYOFFS!
Oh, don't forget... PLAYOFF Ticket Strips are available NOW! See below for more information!
A BIG THANK YOU goes out to you and all of the fans who have supported the Baysox during this and every season here at Prince George's Stadium. We hope that you have enjoyed our wacky promotions, fun events, staff dances, fireworks and the great baseball being played on the field this season. We look forward to seeing you during the playoffs!
Have a great weekend and we hope to see you at the stadium!
