MOBILE, Ala. - With five runs in the fifth and four in the seventh, the BayBears climbed past the Mississippi Braves on Saturday night at Hank Aaron Stadium in an 11-3 victory to claim their third consecutive win and the series.

Mississippi (47-72, 22-27) committed five errors in the contest including three from third baseman Donell Linares which all came in the fifth inning. Linares's first infraction came on an infield single off the bat of Taylor Harbin when Linares threw the ball down the right field line to score Ryan Wheeler and Marc Krauss, tying the game at 3-3.

Josh Ford followed that with a sacrifice fly to score Harbin, putting the BayBears (71-47, 33-15) while Dan Kaczrowski blasted his first home run as a BayBear to make it a 6-3 advantage. That five-run frame turned Bryan Henry (6-3) over. When Henry threw his last pitch, the BayBears trailed 3-1.

Henry surrendered 10 hits during his five innings while giving up three runs. Mississippi grabbed a 2-1 lead off Henry in the second as Braeden Schlehuber doubled home Dan Nelson while a groundout by pitcher Aaron Shafer (1-2) allowed Cory Harrilchak to cross the dish.

Ernesto Mejia singled in Willie Cabrera to put the Braves up by a pair in the top of fifth. The BayBears put the game away with a four-spot in the bottom of the seventh. A.J. Pollock cracked an RBI single to knock in Kyle Greene while Jake Elmore also scored on the play thanks to an error by Nelson in left.

Wheeler and Harbin added RBI singles to make it 10-3. Pollock drove in another tally in the bottom of the eighth to finish the scoring. Kyler Newby was solid out of the BayBears' bullpen with two scoreless innings and five strikeouts. Bryan Woodall and Clay Zavada also kept the Braves from scoring another run.

The BayBears lead in the South Division by 8 games over the second-place Biscuits with their magic number to clinch a South Division second half crown at 15. The BayBears battle the Braves in the finale of their five-game series on Sunday night at 6:05 with right-hander Trevor Bauer (0-0) making his Double-A debut against southpaw Jose Lugo (0-4). It's a Family Day at "The Hank" as kids can play catch on the field before the game and run the bases after.
