
Bay FC Defenders Sydney Collins and Brooklyn Courtnall Selected to Canada Women's National Team Roster for April International Window

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Canada Soccer announced today that Bay FC defenders Sydney Collins and Brooklyn Courtnall have been selected to its Women's National Team roster for the upcoming April international window. Collins, Courtnall and Canada will participate in the FIFA Series 2026TM in Cuiabá, Brazil for three matches, taking on Zambia April 11, Korea Republic April 14, and Brazil April 18.
Each player's selection marks their second international call-ups of 2026.The backline duo helped Les Rouges to silver at the 2026 SheBelieves Cup in March, taking four points in three matches against Argentina, Colombia and the United States. The tournament provided a milestone for both players, with Collins scoring her first career international goal, and Courtnall making her senior international debut in a 4-1 victory over Colombia March 1. Each have appeared in every match for Bay FC to open the 2026 NWSL season, with Collins donning the captain's armband for Head Coach Emma Coates' side.
Canada will take on three strong squads during its trip to Brazil, opening its series of matches against Zambia April 11. The squad will take on Korea Republic, currently 19th in the FIFA World Rankings April 14, before closing out play against Brazil, 8th in the FIFA World Rankings April 18. The FIFA Series brings together national teams from across the six confederations, with the 2026 edition featuring 50 nations across 13 groups and contested in 12 countries.
Bay FC is back in action from PayPal Park this Sunday, April 5 as the Washington Spirit visits the Bay Area. Bay FC will celebrate its Hello Kitty© Match, offering an exclusive Hello Kitty ticket bundle available while supplies last at BayFC.com/tickets. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. PT and the match will broadcast live on ESPN2. Visa is Bay FC's preferred way to pay for tickets.
