The Story:
The rivalry between the Orlando Pride and Angel City FC has been marked by dramatic late-game moments. Five of the eight all-time meetings have featured tying or go-ahead goals scored in the 85th minute or later, including both matchups last season.
The Pride return home following a productive two-match road stretch, earning four points through a win in Chicago and a scoreless draw against the defending NWSL champions Gotham FC. Since the start of the 2024 season, Orlando has collected 52 away points, which is second-most in the NWSL during that span.
Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse secured her 29th regular-season clean sheet in her 76th NWSL appearance last weekend. Only seven goalkeepers in league history have reached 30 clean sheets, and just two have done so before their 80th appearance. Quote of the Week:
"Angel City are a team that has a lot of good momentum right now sitting atop of the table with three wins in three games so they will come with the expectations that they can go for it and we have to stop that, of course. We want to get off to a good start being back at home and in front of our home fans. We have had a good road trip with four points in two games. To finish this part of the season with a win at home is where our minds are at right now."
- Head Coach Seb Hines
