TAMPA, FL - The Tortugas tossed their second shutout of the season, blanking the Tampa Yankees, 4-0, Sunday at Steinbrenner Field.

The Tortugas scored their runs on just two plays. The first was a swing from Shed Long with two outs in the third, drilling a three-run home run into the right field bleachers. It was Long's fourth homer of the year.

The Tortugas would add another run in the fifth when Mitch Piatnik reached on a fielders choice, stole second and advanced on a Sharif Othman throwing error. With Long back at the plate, Othman snapped a throw to third after a pitch that clanked off Piatnik and into left field, allowing him to score.

RHP Wendolyn Bautista was at his best with men on base. He worked around a pair of doubles in the first two innings, before stranding the bags loaded in the third. He left two more in scoring position in the fourth and worked around leadoff base runners in each the fifth and sixth innings.

RHP Jake Paulson was the first man out of the Tortugas 'pen and retired all six batters faced, inducing ground outs from five of them. RHP Tanner Rainey than finished off the win with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Bautista (1-0) earned his first win of the year, allowing six hits in six shut out innings. He walked two and struck out half a dozen. RHP Taylor Widener (0-3) suffered the loss, allowing four runs in three innings.

The Tortugas continue their 10-game road trip with a four game series in Fort Myers that begins Monday. RHP Jonathan Crawford (0-0, 1.45) gets the ball for Daytona against RHP Dereck Rodriguez (0-2, 3.24). First pitch will be at for 6:35 PM with pregame coverage beginning at 6:20 PM on AM 1230 and AM 1490 WSBB.

Notes: Sunday was Daytona's second shut out of the year, after blanking Jupiter, 2-0, on April 12th. Both shut outs have been on the road...Wendolyn Bautista is now 3-0 in his three career starts against Tampa. He has allowed one earned run in 17 1/3 total innings against the Yankees...Shed Long matched his season-high with three RBIs
