Ottawa 67's News Release
The Ottawa 67's announced today that first-year goaltender Danny Battochio is recovering in hospital after successful corrective vascular surgery.
Doctors were extremely happy with the operation and are confident that Battochio will make a full recovery.
Battochio first fell ill over the Christmas holidays and was rushed to a Sudbury hospital for observation and diagnosis. He has been out of the Ottawa lineup since.
Battochio has sent a message out to his fans by saying that he is "fine and will be back as soon as possible."
Fans wishing to sign a giant Get Well banner that the Ottawa 67's will have on display on the concourse this weekend are welcome to do so. The banner will be delivered on Monday to Battochio in hospital.
