Otters make it Eight at Home without a Loss

Chris Campoli scored two power-play goals within 21 seconds in the second period as the ERIE OTTERS skated to a 4-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,879 at the Tullio Arena.

The victory was the OTTERS third straight and stretched their home winning streak to six games and their home-unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-1). The OTTERS improved to 22-17-5-1 on the season and moved past Owen Sound and into sixth place in the Western Conference standings after the Attack dropped a 2-1 decision in Mississauga tonight.

Rob Hisey added a goal and an assist in the win while Geoff Platt netted the other OTTERS' goal.

David Bowman scored the lone Windsor goal as the Spitfires dropped their second straight to sink to 19-21-2-5 on the season. The two teams were tied at one after one. The OTTERS scored the lone three goals of the second period to take a 4-1 lead into the third.

The OTTERS out shot the Spitfires 32-27 in the game as Josh Disher posted the victory.

The three stars of the game were all from the OTTERS. Campoli was the first, Hisey the second and Platt the third.

The OTTERS wrap up a four-game home stand tomorrow (Saturday) night at the Tullio Arena when the Kitchener Rangers come to town for a 7:30 p.m. start presented by Molson.
