Louisville right-hander Keyvius Sampson (2-3, 2.06) pitched six shutout innings allowing only one hit, walking two, and striking out four.

Jumbo Diaz (1-1, 0.75) earned his first win of the season, pitching two and one-third innings, striking out three. Diaz pitched his longest outing since August 21, 2015 with the Reds.

The Bats were the first on the board when Iribarren scored on a single by Steve Selsky in the third inning to put the Bats up 1-0.

The Red Wings tied the game up at four in the seventh with a three run double by John Ryan Murphy and a single by Jorge Polanco, both hits off Louisville reliever Drew Hayes.

Chris Berset walked to open the 12th, with Iribarren driving in pinch-runner Bryson Smith on a single to center to give the Bats a 5-4 lead. Jumbo Diaz struck out the side to secure the win for Louisville and their return to a .500 record (37-37).
