Bats Host Two-Game Set Friday and Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats return from an eight-game road trip to host a two-game set with the Indianapolis Indians Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16.

Friday will be the second and final Peanut Allergy Awareness Night of the season. No peanuts or peanut-based products will be allowed in the ballpark. Before the game, "National Anthem Girl" Janine Stange will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" as part of her quest to perform the anthem in all 50 states this year. Friday will also feature fireworks and a postgame performance by The Skyriders! trampoline acrobatic team.

The Bats will give away their 2014 team card set to the first 2,000 paid admissions on Saturday. The card set includes Tucker Barnhart, Aroldis Chapman, Jumbo Diaz, Mat Latos, Donald Lutz, Corky Miller and Kristopher Negron among others. Saturday will also feature an appearance by The Amazing Christopher.

The Bats, who enter play Wednesday six games back and tied for third in the IL West, are 8-4 against the division rival Indians, Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The teams will play each other 10 times in the final 18 games of the season.

The Bats have averaged 8,979 fans per game at Louisville Slugger Field since its opening in 2000 and have totaled over 8.8 million fans through 14 seasons.
