Lancaster, PA - The Somerset Patriots (15-15) fell to the Lancaster Barnstormers (16-15) 1-0 in 10 innings as shortstop Jaime Pedroza hit a walk-off home run (4) to deep right center field off reliever Mike Solbach with two outs to give the Barnstormers the victory in the first game of this four game midweek series.

It was a classic pitcher's duel between Patriots southpaw Doug Arguello and Barnstormers righty hurler J.D. Durbin. Both came into tonight's contest with ERAs over 5.00. Durbin threw seven shutout frames while striking out four and scattered just four hits. Arguello was brilliant has he tossed nine shutout innings issuing no walks and induced three key double plays. Each received a no decision.

Patriots second baseman Freddie Bynum extended his hitting streak to 18 games with a sharp single up the middle in the first inning.

Solbach suffered his first loss of 2012 while Barnstormer pitcher Les Walrond earned his second victory of the season.

The 2012 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue on the road until Tuesday, June 5th when the Patriots return home to take on the Lancaster Barnstormers at TD Bank Ballpark at 7:05 pm. For tickets, call (908) 252-0700 or visit www.somersetpatriots.com.
