Bakersfield Jam Acquire Returning Player Rights to Dominique Sutton in Trade with Santa Cruz Warrior

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Jam today acquired the returning player rights to guard Dominique Sutton from the Santa Cruz Warriors in exchange for center Mac Koshwal.

Sutton, 29, was a member of the 2014-15 NBA D-League Championship Warriors team last season, where in 40 games played he averaged 13.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 24.8 minutes per contest. Prior to joining Santa Cruz, he had a D-League stint with the Tulsa 66ers (2012-13) where he appeared in 48 games. Selected sixth overall in the 2012 NBA D-League Draft, Sutton was named to the All-NBA D-League Rookie Second Team and was the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase Slam Dunk Champion.

The 6-5, 212-pound guard out of North Carolina Central appeared in six games at the 2015 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas as a member of the Golden State Warriors, posting averages of 10.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.2 steals in 22.1 minutes per contest. Sutton is currently playing with Aquila Basket Trento in Italy's Lega Basket Serie A.
