BAKERSFIELD, September 5, 2013 - The Bakersfield Jam today announced their NBA Development League 2013-14 schedule, opening on the road against the Idaho Stampede, Friday, November 22. The Jam will play a 50-game schedule, 24 of which will take place at the Dignity Health Event Center, 24 on the road and two at the NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, NV. The Jam, coming off a franchise best 36-14 regular season record, will play its home opener on Tuesday, November 26 when they host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7:00 p.m. PST.
The Jam return to the hardwood following a historic 2012-13 season, in which they earned the West Division title for the first time in franchise history, secured the overall top seed in the league, and established a new best home record in league history (22-3).
"We are excited to build upon our success from last season and look forward to opening day," said Head Coach Will Voigt.
The 2013-14 NBA D-League season will again feature three divisions: East (Canton, Delaware, Erie, Fort Wayne, Maine, and Springfield), Central (Austin, Iowa, Rio Grande Valley, Sioux Falls, Texas and Tulsa), and West (Bakersfield, Idaho, Los Angeles, Reno, and Santa Cruz).
The NBA D-League Showcase, the League's midseason scouting event, will be from Jan. 5-9, 2014 in Reno, Nev., with the specific game schedule to be announced at a later date. The NBA D-League All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 in New Orleans in conjunction with NBA All-Star activities.
