ROSTER UPDATE:
LW Kyle Calder was assigned by the Anaheim Ducks to the Condors on Wednesday. He will not be in the lineup tonight, however, as he has returned to Los Angeles for the birth of his third child... Bakersfield native G Tim Potter was added to the roster as emergency back-up on Tuesday... D Patrik Prokop remains on the 3-IR though he is eligible to be activated... G Justin Pogge was recalled by Anaheim on Oct. 26... D Raymond Eichenlaub has been transferred to the 21-IR from the 7-IR, and is eligible to be activated on Nov. 11.
THE MATCHUP:
Tonight's meeting is the first of the year between the Utah Grizzlies and the Bakersfield Condors. The two clubs will battle eight times this season, including three here at Rabobank Arena. Last season, the Condors were dominant against the Grizzlies, going 7-2-0 overall, including 4-1-0 in Condorstown. The schedule was not kind to Utah in 2008-09 however, as the teams didn't meet up until mid-February, when the Condors began their second-half surge that saw them lose only five times in the final 25 games.
PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
Tonight is King of Pop Jersey Raffle & Auction Night. The team will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off to raise proceeds for Children's Miracle Network. The Condors will also wear one white glove during the game, and five of the jerseys will be raffled off for free.
TICKETS:
Tickets start at just $7 and are on sale now at the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 1-800-745-3000, online at Bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets, mini-plans and group outings are available at the Condors office located at 1001 Truxtun Avenue or by calling 324-PUCK (7825).
