WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce that forwards J.C. Ruid and J.F. Dufour and defenseman T.J. Reynolds were called up by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Also, Bogdan Rudenko was placed on the injured reserve list.
Dufour and Ruid are first and third respectively on the Nailers in scoring. Dufour has 61 points on 20 goals and 41 assists in 43 games while playing at a +22. Ruid has 50 points on 18 goals and 32 assists in 41 games while playing at a +28. This will be the second call up to the AHL Penguins this season. Both players have played four games this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton without registering a point.
Reynolds will be making his first trip to the AHL in his career with this call up. He has played every game this season for the Nailers and has 17 points on three goals and 14 assists. He also leads the team with 199 penalty minutes and is playing at a +24.
Rudenko was placed on the 7-day injured reserve list due to an emergency appendectomy. Rudenko has played 35 games for the Nailers this season and has 36 points on 14 goals and 22 assists while playing at a +12.
on Friday, February 20 against the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:30p.m. The Nailers will be displaying the ECHL Championship Trophy, the Kelly Cup, during the game. The Kelly Cup will be at WesBanco Arena for fans to have a photo taken with the trophy.
February 20 will also be NASCAR Night with Gary's Body Shop sponsoring the #8 Dale Earnhardt Cheverolet. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Nailers Team Poster courtesy of Printech, Zee Photo and WTOV-9. It will also be a Season Ticket Holder Ticket Redemption Night.
