Bobby Parnell tossed seven shutout innings, helping the Binghamton Mets to a 6-0 victory over the Trenton Thunder at NYSEG Stadium Wednesday...Jamar Hill was 2 for 4 with a homer and two runs scored, Brett Harper had a pair of hits and an RBI, Wilson Batista scored as part of a twohit day and Rafael Arroyo picked up a two-run double...Parnell scattered five hits and struck out six in his longest outing of the year...the win is Binghamton's second in a row and fifth in their last seven games.

Wednesday's victory gives the B-Mets two straight series wins at home, the first time they've accomplished that feat this season...today, the B-Mets have a chance to sweep a series from Trenton for the first time since 5/27-31, 2005...the B-Mets have taken four in a row from Trenton, batting .348 (46 for 132) and posting a 1.08 ERA (4 ER, 33 1/3 IP) during the streak. Trenton had previously taken 22 of 32 from the B-Mets...Brett Harper's six RBI Tuesday vs. TRE are the most by a B-Met since Mike Jacobs drove in six 6/2/2005 vs. AKR. Tuesday, Harper also became the 12th B-Met to hit 20 homers in a season and the first since Jacobs, who hit 25 homers in 2005.

The New York Yankees affiliate comes to Binghamton after dropping three of four vs. BOW...Trenton's lost 15 of 20 and they haven't won a series since taking two of three vs. Binghamton 7/16-18...Thunder pitchers lead the EL in ERA (3.19), shutouts (14) and strikeouts (959)...Trenton's offense is next-tolast in runs (481) and last in homers (55).

Wednesday, the B-Mets picked up their fourth shutout win of the season. Their previous three shutouts were decided by 1-0 scores (7/20 vs. POR/2, 7/14 @ CON, 5/5 vs. POR). The B-Mets also won three 1-0 games in 2001 and 2003 and they had four 1-0 victories in 2000...Monday, Brett Harper was named the EL Player Of The Week for the week that ended Sunday. Caleb Stewart (5/20) is the only other B-Met to be named EL Player Of The Week this season...Binghamton's had nine games postponed, all in April, and they still need to make up three games as part of doubleheaders. All three of those doubleheaders will be played at NYSEG Stadium...Binghamton's postponed series vs. NB 4/16-18 is only the second series postponed in NYSEG/Municipal Stadium history and the sixth postponed series in team history (also 4/5-7/2007 @ AKR, 5/23-26/2006 @ POR, 4/7-9/2003 @ New Haven, 4/6-8/2001 @ POR and 4/21-23/2000 vs. POR). 2007 is also the first season in club history in which more than one series has been postponed.
