LAST GAME: The B-Mets lost their third straight, falling 8-5 against Portland Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium. Portland scored all eight runs in two innings, being held to just two hits total over their other seven innings. The offense registered 15 hits, scoring all five runs over the final four innings, but hit into four double plays for the second time this season. Eudy Pina went 4-for-4, while Josh Rodriguez hit his ninth home run of the year. Aderlin Rodriguez also homered, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Vic Black and Bobby Parnell each pitched scoreless innings, each allowing a baserunner.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Dillon Gee is making the start as part of his rehab assignment. The righty made two starts with St. Lucie (High-A), shutting out the Dunedin Blue Jays over 6.1 innings his last time out. Gee made five starts this season for New York (NL) before suffering a groin injury. He last pitched in the big leagues on May 3rd. Gee set the Mets record in that May 3 start, by going five innings for the 51st consecutive start. Gee made four starts with Binghamton in 2008, allowing one run in all four. He went 2-0 in the four appearances, never facing Portland. This will be his third career start at NYSEG Stadium.

PORTLAND STARTER: RHP William Cuevas is making his ninth start of the year and second against Binghamton. The righty is coming off a loss, allowing three runs in six innings against Trenton. It was his first loss in six starts, ending a stretch of four straight wins. One of those wins came against Binghamton, when he allowed two earned runs and four hits in 6.1 innings against the B-Mets at NYSEG Stadium on May 6th. Opponents are hitting .197 against Cuevas on the road. He has allowed eight runs in eight third innings this year.

LOSING STREAK: Binghamton has lost three in a row for the second time this season, and for the first time in over a month. The last four game losing streak for Binghamton came at the end of the 2014 season, when the B-Mets lost six straight before going on their championship run.

THIRD PLACE: Binghamton finds itself in third place for the first time in three weeks. The B-Mets had atleast a share of second place each day since May 6th.

SLUGGISH OFFENSE: Binghamton is averaging 2.8 runs over their last nine games, going 3-6. Binghamton has scored fewer than three runs in three of those nine games.

RUNNING IN PLACE: The B-Mets are 1-for-6 in stolen base attempts over their last nine games. Portland, meanwhile, is 2-for-11 in stolen base attempts in their last eight games.

ROAD WARRIORS: The road team has scored first in 31 of Binghamton's 45 games this season. The road team has scored first in 17 of the B-Mets 22 home games this year, including 11 of the last 13. Portland has scored first in four of their five games at NYSEG Stadium this season.

ALLOWING HOME RUNS: The B-Mets pitching staff has allowed 11 home runs in their last 11 games, including two in each of the last two contests. Portland has hit 11 home runs in their last 12 games.

DOUBLE TROUBLE: Binghamton hit into four double plays Tuesday night for the second time this season. They've now hit into 19 double plays over their last 10 games.

BUOYED BY BOYD: Jayce Boyd is currently on a season-high 12-game hitting streak. It's his longest streak since hitting in 18 consecutive games in June 2013.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets wrap up their series with Portland Thursday morning, with a 10:35 AM first pitch at NYSEG Stadium. RHP Luis Cessa gets the ball for Binghamton, against RHP Justin Haley. The B-Mets then heads to Altoona for three games.
