
Avalanche Reassigns Reto Berra and Nate Guenin to Rampage

DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche announced today that goaltender Reto Berra and defenseman Nate Guenin have been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage. Berra's reassignment is on a conditioning loan from the Avalanche and cannot extend for more than 14 consecutive days. Additionally, Rampage defenseman Cody Corbett and goaltender Spencer Martin have been reassigned to the Fort Wayne Komets.
Berra, 29, has posted a 5-8-0 record, 2.41 goals against average, and .922 save percentage in his 14 appearances with the Avalanche this season. A fourth-round pick (No. 106 overall) of the St. Louis Blues in the 2006 Entry Draft, he was acquired by Colorado in exchange for a second-round selection (Hunter Smith) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft on March 5, 2014. The Colorado goaltender spent time with the Colorado Avalanche, and Lake Erie Monsters last season.
Guenin, 33, was acquired by Colorado as a free agent on July 5, 2013 and has made 173 total appearances in three seasons with the Avalanche. The Pennsylvania native has recorded two penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 29 contests this season. A fourth-round pick (No. 127 overall) of the Rangers in the 2002 Entry Draft, he has totaled 441 AHL games played in his career.
Corbett, 22, made 17 appearances with the Rampage, tallying one goal and four assists. He returns to Fort Wayne where he has notched five goals and seven assists in 19 contests. The Minnesota native is in his second professional season after spending last season with the Lake Erie Monsters.
Martin, 20, is in his first professional season after being selected in the third-round (No. 63 overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Avalanche. Martin has registered a 3.40 goals allowed average and .902 save percentage in 13 appearances for the Rampage. On Feb. 14, Martin tied an AHL season-high with 50 saves against the Stockton Heat. The Ontario native returns to Fort Wayne where he made his professional debut with the Komets on Oct. 23, 2015.
The Rampage travel to Cleveland, Ohio for a contest against the Lake Erie Monsters at 6:00 p.m. in Quicken Loans Arena. San Antonio returns home on Friday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. against the Manitoba Moose, which will be Military Appreciation Night, presented by On Time Elmer.
