
Syracuse Crunch Present Upstate Adult and Pediatric Trauma Night February 19

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have partnered with Upstate University Hospital and Safe Kids Upstate NY to present Upstate Adult and Pediatric Trauma Night when the team hosts the Utica Comets on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.
During Upstate Adult and Pediatric Trauma Night, fans will have the opportunity to learn more about trauma. Members of Upstate's Adult and Pediatric Trauma program along with representatives from Safe Kids Upstate NY and the CNY Poison Control Center will be at tables around the concourse to provide fans with information. Representatives will provide safety tips on everything from car seat safety to the dangers or texting and driving. Fans who visit the tables can receive giveaways, including t-shirts and water bottles, and register to win an autographed Crunch item.
Members of Upstate's Adult and Pediatric Trauma program will also participate in a ceremonial puck drop. Throughout the game, information and statistics about trauma can be seen on the scoreboard.
Upstate University Hospital is the only Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center for the entire CNY region. This hospital is a comprehensive regional resource, central to the trauma system, which serves 14 counties and 28 hospitals. Being a Level 1 Trauma Center ultimately means Upstate provides total care for every aspect of injury. Upstate University Hospital contributes administrative leadership, medical leadership and academic leadership within our large geographic region.
