Austin Toros Finish Season At Home This Weekend

AUSTIN, Texas April 13 - The Toros will finish the 2006-07 season this weekend at the Austin Convention Center with a double header against the Dakota Wizards. Tonight's game at 7:30 p.m. is Get Fit With the Toros night. Fans can register to win prizes and receive educational information from Toros sponsors and other area health care providers. 24 Hour Fitness will perform the Nike Rock Star Workout pre-game, starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday's activities begin with the inaugural Dennis Johnson Memorial High School All-Star game presented by Austin Radiological Association at 4:30 p.m. Student athletes representing 17 central Texas high schools will face off in a north versus south game named in memory of former Toros head coach Dennis Johnson who passed away suddenly February 22, 2007. Fans who purchase a ticket for Saturday's events may attend both the All-Star and the Toros game starting at 7 p.m.

Fan Appreciation Night is the theme for the Toros final home game. Fans will have an opportunity to win Toros autographed prizes as well as bid for silent auction items with a portion of the proceeds benefiting CARY - Council on At-Risk Youth.

Five lucky finalists will have a chance to win a hot tub courtesy of Life Spas of Texas. Life Spas of Texas is a 2006-07 Toros partner and will award one hot tub valued at $7,900 at half-time on Saturday. Life Spas ran the promotion to win this prize throughout the season. Fans registered throughout the season online, at Toros home games and through the mail.
