Amarillo Gorillas News Release

Amarillo, TX 3/25/09 - The last week of the 2008-09 Central Hockey League regular season was a good one for Austin Sutter.

After being named the CHL Man of the Year early in the week, Sutter went on to score seven points in three games, garnering Oakley CHL Player of the Week honors for the first time this season. It was the second time on the campaign a Gorillas player has won the award-defenseman Neil Smith collected the honors in late December.

Sutter scored a goal and an assist in a 5-4 overtime win against New Mexico on Thursday, helping the Gorillas to a win against their division rival. After putting up an assist in Friday's 5-4 victory at Rocky Mountain, Sutter returned home to post the first hat trick of his professional career in a wild 8-7 loss to the Rage.

The Red Deer, Alberta native will receive a special gift for Oakley for his efforts.
