Mudbugs vs. Rage: Game Two Tonight

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Join us tonight at the CenturyTel Center for playoff hockey as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs host the Rocky Mountain Rage at 7:05 pm! Tonight is Game 2 of the Northern Conference Opening Round Series between the Mudbugs and the Rage.
The Mudbugs come into tonight's Game 2 trailing 0-1 in the best-of-three series after a stellar performance by Rocky Mountain goaltender Scott Reid in Monday's Game 1. The 'Bugs dominated most of the game and finished with a 52-19 shot advantage, but the opportunistic Rage won 4-3. Rocky Mountain scored two powerplay goals in the first period before the Mudbugs started their comeback in the second. Bossier-Shreveport cut the deficit to one on three different occasions, but the Rage found a way to stay on top with timely goals and Reid's efforts in net. Even in defeat, the line of Kevin Cooper, Travis Clayton and Joe Blaznek was outstanding for the Mudbugs on Monday night, generating all three of the team's goals. Clayton had a goal and two assists, Blaznek finished with three helpers and Cooper scored a goal in the contest. Game 1 was the first time Rocky Mountain had ever beaten Bossier-Shreveport in regulation. The 'Bugs still hold an all-time record of 6-1-1 against the Rage.
Tonight the Mudbugs return home for Game 2 at the CenturyTel Center, where they hold an All-Time record of 30-12 during the postseason. The 'Bugs are forced into a must-win situation tonight, needing a victory to tie the series at one game apiece and force a deciding Game 3 on Thursday night. The winner of this Northern Conference Opening Round series will face the top-seeded Colorado Eagles in the second round of the playoffs.
If the Mudbugs win tonight's Game 2, Game 3 of the series will take place tomorrow night at the CTC. The start time for Game 3 has been moved up to 6:05 pm rather than the normal Mudbugs start time of 7:05 pm.
