AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Spurs (18-26), presented by SWBC, defeated the Stockton Kings (27-18), 128-104, Saturday evening at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
John Holland led Spurs scoring with 22 points (7-14 FG, 4-8 3FG) in 32 minutes. Ben Moore recorded his twelfth double-double of the season of 17 points (6-7 FG) and 17 rebounds, while Travis Trice contributed 20 points (7-11 FG, 5-5 FT) and a team-high seven assists.
A competitive first half featured seven lead changes and nine ties, with neither team able to gain more than a seven point advantage. The Kings were able to gain slight separation at the end of the half for a 68-62 lead heading into the break.
The Spurs fought back in the second half, tying the game 91-91 heading into the final period. The Silver and Black took control in the fourth, boosted by 11 fourth quarter points from San Antonio Spurs assignee Chimezie Metu. Austin would go on to outscore Stockton, 37-16, in the quarter for a final score of 128-104.
For the Kings, Daniel Ochefu led scoring with 27 points (11-15 FG, 5-7 FT). Troy Williams notched a double-double of 15 points (5-13 FG) and 10 rebounds.
