Moosic, Pa. - The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) lost a 6-3 decision to the Columbus Clippers on Thursday night at PNC Field. The RailRiders (30-21) settled for a 3-3 split of the season series with the Clippers (24-29).

J.P. Feyereisen (0-1) absorbed a tough loss in his Triple-A debut. The right-hander allowed two runs, one earned, and yielded two walks in his two innings behind starter Caleb Smith. Smith hurled a quality start, allowing two first-innings runs. He surrendered five hits, a walk and matched a season-high with nine strikeouts.

Trailing 2-0 in the home half of the first, SWB got on the board thanks to a two-run blast to right by Tyler Austin. By games end, Austin was 3-for-4 with singles in the third and eighth innings.

Columbus reclaimed the advantage against Feyereisen in the top of the seventh. Ruben Tejada launched a towering long ball out to left in the bottom of the frame. The Clippers plated two runs in the top of the ninth against reliever J.R. Graham to cap the scoring.
