It's Minor League Baseball, filled with Major League Excitement! That's exactly what you will experience the instant you step foot inside Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Thursday night, August 31st. Your Delmarva Shorebirds will celebrate and honor the people who made this season a success...The Fans! Your Hometown team encourages fans across the Peninsula to join the celebration of this 2006 Season with the biggest party you could ever imagine! If you thought we outdid ourselves in '05 just wait to you see who brings in the first pitch! This 2006 "Fan Appreciation Night" will cap off the 'Birds 11th season in style and will simply prove why Your Shorebirds are the "#1 Family Entertainment Attraction on Delmarva." Game time is at 7:05pm, Gates open at 6:05pm and the Jaw-Dropping Excitement will take place the entire time!

Everyone in attendance has an opportunity to walk away with a 'Super-Great Prize' from Your Shorebirds F.A.N. Prize Center. A special gift for all: Everyone on arrival will be handed a party favor gift bag highlighted by a very important raffle ticket and your ticket to the 2007 home opener in April. That opening night voucher will also be redeemable in April for a Shorebirds Coffee Mug, which provides you with FREE Refills the entire night for Coffee, Hot Chocolate or Soda! Wait, there's more, each fan will also receive a 2007 magnet schedule thanks to our good friends at Holloway Transit & Tours!

"All season long we have promoted that the Fans come first and this is our night to express how much we appreciate their support." General Manager, Stephen C. Yaros stated. "It is important we show the same loyalty they have shown us for over the years. We want to congratulate, applaud, and reward our fans with a spectacular evening. I hope everyone will be here for the party and all the surprises we have planned to help us celebrate another successful season on the shore!"

This incredible night will start off right, when local hero, Heather Ward, former American Idol, who made it all the way to the stage in Hollywood will be performing her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. So, make sure to arrive early to the stadium, grab your seat, enjoy Heather's performance and the entire night's festivities! She will also be performing her winning rendition of Gretchen Wilson's "Here For The Party!" prior to the Largest Fireworks Extravaganza in Shorebirds History!

Gates open up at 6:05pm, all the fun kicks off when you walk-up to the stadium, the "Sierra Mist Fun Zone" will be jamming with the familiar tunes of your favorite radio stations; Froggy 99.9FM, Q105FM, The Wave 92.1FM, 96ROCK, Magic 98.9FM, KISS 105.5FM.... and Sportstalk 960AM "The TEAM." Their LIVE remotes will include The Pepsi Prize Machine, Fun Inflatables, and much more radio entertainment.
